Bath Salts and Body Scrubs March 20, 2010

How would you like to make your bath more luxurious? Learn how to make your own 100% natural bath salts and exfoliating body scrubs in this fun hands-on class. First, you will learn about what bath salts are, what goes into them and how you can make them at home using all-natural ingredients. Then you will customize your salts using fragrance oils or essential oils and dried herbs for texture. Next, you will make a fantastic salt body scrub that you can use in the shower or bath to exfoliate dead skin cells and softens your skin. Also, you will learn about the different types, sizes and textures of salt to use in scrubs, and the properties and shelf life of carrier oils. And lastly you will create your own silky milk bath. You will leave this class with helpful handouts and recipes, an 8 oz glass of bath salts, 8 oz jar of salt scrub and a 3 oz container of a milk bath recipe. A $20 lab fee will be collected.
