From the headlines of The Weekly World News, Bat Boy The Musical is a love story with a serious bite. A Broadway cult hit even before it transferred to London, Bat Boy tells the tale of a half boy/half bat discovered in a cave in WV. It deals with serious themes (such as hypocrisy, acceptance, racism, revenge, and scapegoating), but often punctures the most serious moments with slapstick, irony, surreallism, and camp-horror.
