Bastille Day at BLT Steak July 13, 2011

Celebrating “La Fete Nationale,” or Bastille Day as it is known in the states, BLT Steak is offering day-long specials on one of the things that people most love from France: their wine. On Bastille Day, Thursday, July 14, all French wines by the glass and bottle will be 50% off at BLT Steak all day. Everything from fine Bordeaux to young Beaujolais, guests can tour several of France’s best wine regions for half price. Executive Chef Victor Albisu of BLT Steak DC will also be serving up traditional French desserts throughout the week, from Monday, July 11 – Saturday, July 16. Desserts ($9) will include Opera Cake, a delicious almond sponge cake with a coffee and chocolate filling and icing, Paris Brest, a circular ring of choux pastry and a softly whipped praline cream, and St. Honore cake, an intricate dessert of puff pastry, pate au choux and Chiboust cream. All day during Bastille Day, the French desserts will be available for $5.
