BASSIK ft.
Paper Diamond + Run DMT
PAPER DIAMOND
Forward is not just a direction, it’s a way of life for Colorado based producer Alex B who is rolling out big tunes under the new guise of Paper Diamond. The new project finds the trusted producer moving into previously untraveled musical territory. The Paper Diamond sound has raw energy and the kind of dramatic anticipation only a seasoned producer can incite. Driving beats and bass grab on tight while deep, rich tones rumble under layers of spacey synthesizers, sweet melodies, and catchy vocals. One thing is for sure. The energy is high.
RUN DMT
Hailing from Austin, Texas, Lemiwinks & Parson aka RUN DMT is an experiment in sonic debauchery. Collectively drawing influence from all facets of music, RUN DMT’s sound is a reflection of a torrid love affair with heavy basslines, thunderous beats, and haunting melodies. Forming in the summer of 2010, RUN DMT decided to take the approach of no-holds-barred heavy bass music without borders. Genres became meaningless as they started writing what they were feeling. This concept has captured the attention of everyone that hears it. RUN DMT has rapidly created a steady following that seems to keep growing exponentially.
With each city they visit, whether small club or giant stadium, RUN DMT gives the audience an intimate performance designed to connect them to the music. RUN DMT has performed at many large events including SXSW, Nocturnal Festival, and Spring Love and are soon going to represent at EDC and Camp Bisco in 2011. Everywhere they go the create a fan base of both listeners and industry people. RUN DMT has become a staple on several peoples playlists. They receive DJ support from the likes of MSTRKRFT, Craze, Rod Azlan, Grooverider, Reid Speed, BLOKHE4D, 12th Planet, Dillon Francis, Jen Lasher, Figure, and Proper Villians to name a few.
When they aren’t on the road touring, they are busy in the studio. RUN DMT has seen releases on JFK’s Teenage Riot Records, Play Me Too, Evol Intent, Purple 5, and contributed to the soundtrack for the video game, “Mortal Kombat” (2011). They have also remixed for the likes of Bird Peterson, Flinch, Figure, and alt metal band Asking Alexandria. Currently, they are working on tracks for Shortee’s Heavy Artillery label as well as a full length album. Other projects include writing a score for a recent short film.
RUN DMT is an experience to witness and listen to. Their sound is indescribable, but the same conclusion is drawn: This music is super heavy.
