Basketry Basics & Beyond w/ Kim Keats May 11, 2013

Explore basketry basics through the creation of a start-to-finish basket or sculpture using imported and harvested materials. Under the instruction of fine craft artisan Kim Keats, participants age 18 and up will learn methods for preparing natural materials and how to execute weaving techniques including lashing, ribwork, twinning, and simple and random weaving, along with finishing and embellishing.
