Arka Mukhopadhyay, founder and creative director of Logos Theatre, will be conducting a basic workshop on stage performance. The workshop will use scenes from Shakespeare's plays to train participants on basic physical awareness, breathing and voice production techniques, using space, working with impulse, exploring and expressing emotions physically and through rhythm and music, and creating performances. It will also touch upon the role of theatre in conflict mediation. In the process, the participants will be brought in touch with their creative potential and will discover communicative, expressive and leadership skills. The workshop will end with a sharing of the work developed with an invited audience.
