Basic Tracking February 5, 2011

Learn to identify the tracks and scat of local mountain mammals, and speculate about the interesting tales the signs may tell. Docents Keith Johnsg rd and Ann Reisenauer will lead this moving outdoor classroom; a leisurely 2-mile stroll (with many stops) over mostly flat sections of the Ancient Oaks and Alder Spring Trails. Hope for mud! Meet at the Caltrans vista point opposite Russian Ridge Preserve gate RR-01. The parking area is located on Skyline Boulevard, 1.2 miles north of Page Mill Road and 6 miles south of Highway 84. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.
