Conceived in collaboration with the multifaceted violinist Daniel Hope, this season's Baroque Collection traces the flowering of violin virtuosity across Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries.

This concert is part of the CMS Baroque Festival. Beyond all the pomp and circumstance of the Baroque period, the music of this era embodies emotion and expressivity rarely equaled before or since. From the introspective opening of Telemann's Concerto for Violin, to the unbridled joy of Bach's Sixth Brandenburg Concerto, the Baroque Festival offers boundless variety of interpretation from a dazzling cast of musicians.
