BARKtoberfest for the Ankeny Dog Park October 13, 2012

Central Iowa dogs are invited to dust off their favorite Halloween costumes for the Ankeny Dog Park’s 5th and final Barktoberfest event – Saturday, October 13, from 1-5 p.m. at Chips Restaurant in Ankeny. Averaging 150 dogs annually, it’s the biggest dog party of the year!

This year’s lineup includes:
*agility and nosework demonstrations by Canine Craze Performance Center
*adorable adoptables from the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and other area rescue groups
*food and beverages by Chips Restaurant
*professional pet portraits by CLIX Portrait Studio
*nail trimming by Pawsitively Pampered
*gourmet pet treats by Brown Dog Bakery
*courtesy grounds service by Scooper Troopers
*fun contests and prizes – including a Halloween Costume contest and Canine Cake Walks, plus gift certificates, free admission to the Great Iowa Pet Expo, samples of BOGO Bowl dog food and a drawing for 1 free bag!

Barktoberfest admission is $5 per dog. Entertainment and activities are free; food, beverages and optional services are available for a fee. Seating is limited – bringing lawn chairs is recommended!
