What is it?
Canines at Play, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to bringing an off-leash dog park to Northfield, is hosting a community fundraiser to help raise the $10,000 needed to build the dog park.
What can we do there?
Lots of great entertainment to keep you laughing through the afternoon. Bid in the silent auction. Watch herding and agility demonstrations. Enjoy Dances with WOOFs, a canine dance troupe. Participate in a sample obedience class. Learn about Tellington Touch, a unique way to bring peace to your pooch in stressful situations. Help your pooch create his or her own Paw Painting while your kids have face painting done. Learn how dogs make a difference in crime fighting, and meet McGruff while you're at it. Get your picture taken with your dog at the Picture Your Pet in the Park photo booth. Eat great food and just have a good time.
Where's it at?
Lions Riverside Park on Highway 3 in Northfield, right across the street from the Rodeo Grounds and next to the new Veteran's Memorial.
What does it cost?
Admission is free but donations to the dog park are STRONGLY encouraged. Help us make the dog park a reality in Northfield.
