Bargain Books & Paper Fair

Fiction and non-fiction books, sheet music, photographs, posters, magazines, auction catalogs, calendars and other miscellaneous items will be available on Saturday, December 1st from 10am to 2pm at the Tip Top Shoe Building, 155 West 72nd Street (between Broadway and Columbus Avenue), 4th floor, New York, NY. Admission is free.

There will be many rare, collectible, out-of-print and unusual fiction and non-fiction books on art, antiques, music, dance, theatre, film, sports, business, toys, books about law, publishing and writing etc. Books include Ernest Hemingway’s Death in the Afternoon, a leatherette Louis L’Amour, JAZZ EXPOSÉ: THE NEW YORK JAZZ MUSEUM AND THE POWER STRUGGLE THAT DESTROYED IT, rare Rembrandt folio, Currier & Ives America, Hirschfeld by Hirschfeld, Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Geronimo and books about cowboys and the west, Rites of Rhythm-The Music of Cuba, books by Nikki Giovanni, books about Elvis, Janis Joplin, Bob Marley and Jim Morrison, etc.

Photographs include a large Clark Gable and Judy Garland, Albert Einstein, rock and roll, sports, history, important African Americans, movie stars, TV stars, etc. Posters include jazz legends Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and many other jazz artists as well as Steinberg, Richie Havens, Osmonds, et al. Also available are tons of sheet music of movies, Broadway shows, coral and religious music as well as African American rarities, guitar music, political and historical pieces, sheets with names of cities and states, etc. There are auction catalogs from Christie’s and Sotheby’s plus calendars, magazines and miscellaneous rarities.
