Barefoot Wines Volleyball League June 4, 2009

AVP Pro Beach Volleyball and Barefoot Wine have stepped up their long-standing partnership with the creation of the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup to honor talented beach volleyball players across the country. The series will draw hopefuls from men’s and women’s grassroots amateur beach volleyball leagues in 16 cities. The local series winners will have the opportunity to play for a main draw berth at the AVP Crocs Tour San Francisco to play against the Pros.

The series will have a Long Island presence in the East End Volleyball league program at Cedar Beach in Babylon. Every Thursday night from June 4 through July 15 at the Beach Hut at Cedar Beach, Babylon, spectators will have the opportunity to watch the best beach volleyball players on LI compete for a chance to reach the AVP Pro beach Volleyball Tour. In addition to the pro league on Thursdays there will also be leagues for novice and intermediate level players Monday through Thursday nights.
