On Saturday, May 9, Barefoot will feature the Barnes and Noble Book Bistro featuring children’s storytelling, authors and illustrators, including NPR’s Laurel Snyder, Danny Kofke and Maria Corkern. For adults, don’t miss the popular Dixie Darlins’, four Southern book-writing belles, serving up helpings of down-home humor and warmth. When the Dixie Darlin’s come to town, they don’t just sign books. They give a lively presentation, peppered with advice, animation, and lots of anecdotes. Plus Patricia Sprinkle, Haywood Smith and more!
All funds raised go to support the arts in Gwinnett. Parents and children are welcome to visit the Legacy Academy Children's Art Park where they can create art to take home, participate in workshops, get summer camp info and browse through the Children's Art Exhibit created by local children. The Children's Art Park will feature projects from Legacy Academy, Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center, Pinckneyville Community Arts Center, Hudgens Art Center and Young Chef's Academy.
