This exhibit explores the transitional states between death and either the attainment of spiritual enlightenment or the return to the cycle of rebirth. For centuries Tantric Buddhism has used visual tools to aid in the preparation of the destructive visions that appear in the afterlife. This exhibition presents these objects as well as the ritual context in which they were used.
