'Barcelona and Modernity: Gaudi to Dali' will be the first exhibition in the United States to examine a remarkable, seventy-one year period (1868-1939) when Barcelona reigned as one of the most dynamic centers of modernist art and architecture in Europe. The exhibition will address an important gap in American understanding of a vital yet under appreciated epoch in the history of modern art.
