Rob Jost Brings His Group The Peekaboos to Brooklyn
Bassist Rob Jost, widely respected for his work with Tony Scher, Imogen Heap, the Monika H. Band and countless others, brings The Peekaboos to The Tea Lounge Friday, November 14th. This 12-piece musical collective plays a lively sound of reggae, rock-steady, and ska classics, as well as a few originals. Fans of Jost's other musical project, Public Garden, already know that his talent as a bass player is rivaled only by his warm persona. The Tea Lounge, located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is one of the most laid back and inviting places to hear an eclectic mix of new bands and underground legends. While everyone is still in celebration mode since Election Day, The Peekaboos promise to Barack-steady all evening.
The Peekaboos are: Rob Jost-vocals, bass: Michelle Casillas- vocals; Shawn Trail-percussion; Conor Elmes-drums; Tony Barba- tenor sax; Jon Natchez- baritone sax; Jesse Neuman-trumpet; Elizabeth!- Trombone; Briggan Krauss-alto sax; Teddy Kumpel-guitar; Mark Tewarson-guitar; Ethan White-organ
