Banned Books Week: Celebrating the Freedom to Read is observed each year during the last week of September. An annual event since 1982, Banned Books Week celebrates the freedom to choose and the freedom to express one's opinion even if that opinion might be considered unorthodox or unpopular.
Several Northfield locations are observing this important week with displays and events. Stop by the Northfield Public Library, St. Olaf Bookstore, River City Books, or Carleton Bookstore to see the displays and find out more.
