On Wednesday, September 29th @ 7:30 PM the Parkway Central Library at 1901 Vine Street presents Banned Books – A Reading by local personalities. In honor of Banned Books Week and your right to intellectual freedom, the Free Library of Philadelphia and the ACLU invite you to a reading of banned books by Philadelphia’s finest artists and authors.
Readers include: musician, John Wesley Harding, Scribe Video founder, Louis Massiah, and authors, Greg Frost, Merrie Jones, Dennis Tafoya and Susana Mayer of the Erotic Salon. Philly Poe guy, Ed Pettit reads from banned horror and performance poet, Lamont Dixon does the honors as host. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 215.686.5414.
