A production of the Academy of Arts and Academics. First developed by the author & Thurston High School Theatre Director (and now current A3 School & Theatre Director) Michael Fisher in the wake of the Thurston High School shooting in 1998, "Bang Bang You're Dead" became a world-wide phenomenon in 1999 in the battle against school violence. Since the, the play has been downloaded and performed around the world thousand of times, translated into multiple languages, and inspired a multi-Emmy winning Showtime film of the same title. In honor of the original project, the play is being re-released in a new version that updates the plot of the play to address the bullying issue and reawakens the urgency to not become complacent. A3 presents the Oregon State premiere of the newest version and will tour it to the Scotland Fringe Festival in August, 2010.
