Discover one of Cleveland's hidden treasures any weekend in May as MRPS welcomes the public to visit - and experience - one of the few original roundhouses left in the United States.
You'll be able to take a guided tour of the site; see and hear stories about the “4070” steam locomotive; view vintage equipment of all types; and climb on board one of our elegant "parlor cars" for a look at old-time business travel. Conditions permitting, you’ll also be able to go for a ride for in our historic “62”or “90” coaches (circa 1920).
Hours for “Open House at the Roundhouse” are 1:00-5:00 p.m. each weekend. Guided tours will start on the hour with the last tour at 4:00 p.m. Days are:
Saturday, May 5
Sunday, May 13
Saturday, May 19
Sunday, May 27
Please be advised that the Roundhouse site is in rough condition. Appropriate clothing – including closed-toe shoes – is required. Children are welcome but MUST BE SUPERVISED by parents AT ALL TIMES. Guests with disabilities are also welcome, but neither the site nor equipment are ADA accessible.
