Band of the California Battalion August 28, 2011

In this 150th anniversary year since the start of the Civil War, The Band of the California Battalion comes to Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site on Sunday, August 28, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The group, centered at Long Beach City College, accurately portrays a battalion band of the Union Army—performing rousing tunes of the era on period instruments. Visitors may picnic on the grounds after 4:30 p.m. Parking is limited to Virginia Road, so bicycles and carpooling are encouraged; shuttle service will be provided. Please, pets are not allowed.
