Bamboo and String Trellis for Vegetables November 6, 2010

Discover the benefits of vertical vegetable gardening, and build your own bamboo and string trellis similar to those seen in the Hartland Harvest Menu Garden. Your finished trellis will measure approximately six feet tall with a four-foot diameter base and will make a great growing structure for your peas, beans, cucumbers and many other vining vegetables. We will discuss plants well suited to vertical gardening and alternative trellis construction. Plus, you will receive a voucher good for one vining vegetable plant redeemable at the 2011 Spring Plant Sale at Powell Gardens. Please bring gloves.
