This a cappella performance presents a loose collaboration of female singers who explore the complex and haunting vocal polyphony of liturgical and folk music from the Caucasus Republic of Georgia and the raw exuberance of British Isles folk and early American shape-note singing. The music features unorthodox styles and harmonizations sung to texts from American religious traditions.
