At the heart of New York’s vibrant 1950s jazz scene was the Palladium night club, birthplace of the mambo, the cha-cha and the merengue. Ballet Hispanico, artistic director Tina Ramirez, and the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra’s Arturo O’Farrill collaborate in the Boston premiere of a new, full-length ballet, "Palladium Nights," with Alexandre Magno’s hypnotic choreography capturing the excitement of this legendary hot spot. This thrilling combination marks the first time the two bastions of Latin culture have shared the stage.
