BALL UP ALL-STAR’S TO COMPETE AGAINST PHOENIX SUNS POINT GUARD & BROOKLYN NATIVE SEBASTIAN TELFAIR’S STREETBALL TEAM ON JULY 21 July 21, 2012

Coming off the NBA Finals and prior to the Summer Olympics, Streetball – the rawest form of basketball - will be making a splash this summer with a nationwide tour. Born on outdoor courts around the world, streetball has become renowned for its playing style and talent of the players involved. Experience the talent of Professor, Sik Wit It, Air Up There, Bone Collector, AO, Pat the Roc, Mr. Afrika, Violator, Special FX and Springs as they challenge teams across the country in search of America’s next best streetball player.

Criteria for winning a spot on Sebastian Telfair’s Streetball Team are below:
• Arrive for open run tryouts at 12pm for the Open Run Competition on game day
• Those selected will play in the live game later that evening
• Two MVP’s will be selected from the game in New York and in subsequent markets for a chance to compete in the championship game against Ball Up All-Stars
• One player will be crowned MVP from the championship game and will win an exclusive player contract as the newest member of the professional Ball Up team.

Tickets for the event are on sale at Eventbrite.com and Ballup.com. In addition to seeing streetball at its finest, the family-friendly event includes a halftime performance, live DJ entertainment, hosting by Duke Tangeo and filming of the game for live broadcast.

Each game on the tour will be filmed live for Season 2 of Ball Up Streetball Classic, a reality competition series on Fox Sports Network that consists of a 12-episode national broadcast.
