LIVE PERFORMANCE
B and Not B started as a songwriting project of David Ricardo. Each month, he would write and record as many songs as he could in a 12-hour session, and then post the results (no matter how they sounded) on http://bandnotb.net/. David still does those monthly sessions, but B and Not B has morphed into an actual band, featuring members of Young Moderns, Whitey On The Moon, Coloring, and Paper Tiger. Check them out at the Penny Arcade @ The Make-Out Room on Wednesday, December 3rd, with The Bye Bye Blackbirds, Leyna Noel, and more. It's an early show (8pm), and B and Not B will probably play first, so come early!

LIVE PERFORMANCE
Beatbeat Whisper is the project of siblings Davyd and Ayla Nereo, begun in the hills of Sonoma County, now living in Oakland, California. Each an outstanding songwriter individually, the two combine their music with overlapping harmonies and widely varied instrumentation, exchanging electric and acoustic guitars in one song for kalimba and tambourine the next, and mandoline and piano to follow. Their notes murmur of traditional folksongs and rock ballads, classical piano sonatas and pirate shanties, weaving word into harmony with two strings of voice. Beatbeat Whisper has released two full-length albums, and future works include a third album, image-music films, and projects furthering compassion and collaboration.
