BAGELS, a nosh above other romances, had its world premiere this coming January in North Hollywood. Due to rave reviews and sold out houses, the run of “Bagels” has been extended for three additional weeks until April 11.
The play begins the morning after Rachel, a senior, has spent the night at the home of Jake, also a senior. But just sleeping. So, Jake is slightly annoyed. Jake and Rachel just met through an Internet dating service, and Rachel harbors an embarrassing secret involving the Internet which she is reluctant to admit. The situation is complicated when Karen, a senior who had a prior liaison with Jake, unexpectedly shows up.
Bagels delivers laughs!... Quick-witted and well-acted…. “American Pie” for senior adults…
Tolucan Times
… very witty and just as charming! The cast of four… has their comic timing down pat. … For those that enjoy their comedy with a colorful twist, BAGELS is the cream cheese of them all.
Linear Cycle Productions
The plot is a good one.
