What better way to kick off the first edition of Diesel Filling Station’s first Bacon & Beer of the year than with the help of Highland Brewing Company? On Tuesday, January 31 beginning at 8 p.m., bacon-lovers can enjoy a Scottish-themed night, which includes specialty fare, frosty beers, a one-off keg, bagpipers, and more.
The carefully crafted menu features bacon and Scottish inspired fare served up alongside handpicked Highland Brewing Company brews. Specialty offerings include Cock-a-leekie soup (chicken and leek soup with bacon); cheesy cauliflower whiskey; blood pudding; pickled onions; and Scotch eggs. Highland Brewing Company is also bringing “one-off” keg they created just for the event. The “VIPig” Bacon & Beer experience is $25 and includes a sample of each food item, a pint of the special "one-off" beer and Highland Brewing Gaelic Ale. Leading up to the event, Diesel Filling Station will have a sampling of different Highland Brewing Company beers on tap for $3.50 a pint. The one-off keg will be tapped the night of the event and available a la carte for $4 a pint. And, for anyone that wears a kilt, Highland Brewing Company will take care of their first pint.
