When it comes to great movies, more often than not, the stories behind those movies are as interesting and entertaining as the movies themselves. And who better to share those behind the scenes stories than the Master Storytellers themselves, the directors, writers and producers. Twice a month, HOLLYWOOD’S MASTER STORYTELLERS presents the most talented directors, writers and producers in the industry – from the hottest new talent to multiple Academy Award® winning veterans for an insider’s perspective on some of your favorite movies. Each program will begin with a screening followed by a Q&A moderated by creator Gordon Meyer.
When Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale made the original BACK TO THE FUTURE in 1985, they thought their time travel comedy was complete. Having the character of Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) show up at the end to warn Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) that “something’s gotta be done about your kids,” was intended as nothing more than a throw-away gag. A few years later, it became the starting point for the second and third parts of a trilogy that has become one of the most popular franchises of all time.
Our presentation of BACK TO THE FUTURE PART I was one of our most popular shows of 2005, selling out in less than three days. Now, after countless requests, we’re presenting parts II and III as a double feature. Writer/Producer Bob Gale returns to Hollywood’s Master Storytellers with TBA cast members as we talk about the power and popularity of the BTTF franchise, teaching Michael J. Fox how to ride a horse and Christopher Lloyd’s first screen kiss.
Tickets go on sale July 7. One ticket gets you into both films with the Q&A taking place between Part II and Part III.
