Back To School @ EMTC - DJ Scratch Lab Workshops! August 27, 2008

Make back to school shopping fun and bring your kids, tweens and teens to Erin Mills Town Centre (Erin Mills Parkway & Eglinton Avenue) for a week of great activities at Back To School@ EMTC. Kids of all ages can take part in a Taekwondo demonstration, Hip Hop Dance lesson or Scavenger Hunt, learn to be a DJ or design a back to school outfit from Monday, August 25 until Saturday, August 30 in Upper Level Centre Court. There are no registration fees for the events and walk-ins are welcome, however, to secure a spot in any of the events, please contact Guest Services at (905) 569-1981 to register or visit www.erinmills.ca for more information.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a professional DJ? Learn how to use the turntable like a musical instrument at the Scratch Lab DJ Workshops.

These exciting workshops offer an introduction to the world of DJing. Children of all ages will learn about DJ equipment and have an opportunity to test it out! They will also learn about song structure, vinyl cuts and scratches and an introduction to mixing.

DJ FASE from the Scratch Lab DJ Institute will teach the Scratch Lab DJ Workshops.

Time: One-hour sessions at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm
Place: Upper Level Centre Court
