The growth of Glitch as a genre of electronic music can be dated back in the 1990s when digital technology was striding dizzily ahead in music-making. Glitch artists used to produce their works by splicing together small samples (?cuts?) from already recorded songs and mingling them with beats made out of short clicks and bits of noise. For this reason, this genre is also termed ?clicks and cuts?. Though considered as a sub-genre of IDM, Glitch is supposedly influenced by Musique concr?te, techno music, industrial music and ambient music.

On April 15th artists B6, Hu Zi, jxnblk(US) and Amnjk(Japan) will be making Glitch at the Art Salon of Zhu Qizhan Art Museum.
