BOSTON – Celebrate sustainable seafood at the New England Aquarium Feb 15 with a three-course dinner lead by a top local chef.
As part of the Celebrate Seafood dinner series, guest chef Stephen Oxaal of B & G Oysters in Boston and Aquarium Executive Chef Mukesh Ranmarine will lead cooking demonstrations and prepare a menu of farmed-raised Pacific Weathervane scallops, U.S. farmed-raised crayfish, and wild-caught Pacific cod.
This is the first of three Celebrate Seafood events in 2011.
Initiated in 2007, the Aquarium’s Celebrate Seafood Dinner Series features three-course sustainable seafood meals with wine pairings and cooking demonstrations in a fun, conversational format. Together, the guest chef and Aquarium chefs lead cooking demonstrations while Aquarium experts highlight the sustainability features of each dish. The dinners are held in the Aquarium’s Harbor View Café.
Additional Celebrate Seafood events will be held April 12 and Oct. 4. Tickets are $65 for members and $75 for non-members. All events start at 6:30 p.m. Call 617-973-5206 or visit neaq.org to register and learn more about sustainable seafood.
