Azalea International Folk Fair & Dance Competition March 7, 2009

On March 8, 2008, the Georgia State Representatives and Georgia State Senate designated Azalea International Folk Fair as Georgia's official international festival. What a great honor!! Congratulation, Valdosta-Lowndes County!!

The project promotes lively cultural exchange, provides richly diverse entertainment, and enriches the local social studies curriculum in the largest scale in Georgia State.

The project includes the following FIVE major productions:
(1) International Festival with more than 40 countries represented
(2) World Culture Folk Dance Competition
(3) World Geography: Are You Smarter Than a 7th Grader?
(4) Robot Technology - Mechanical Robot Project
(5) Youth Invention Exhibition & Presentation

The project spans over THREE days. Thursday and Friday are exclusively reserved for Georgia's middle school students to attend as a field trip. On Saturday, visitors from all over the South take pleasure in travelling around the world without leaving Georgia.
