Award-Winning Ukrainian Artist and Writer, Vasyl Lopata, Being Honored June 5, 2011

You, your family and friends are invited to the 70TH BIRTHDAY celebration of VASYL LOPATA - a prominent Ukrainian graphic artist, People's Artist of Ukraine, Winner of the National Taras Shevchenko Prize, writer - on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Hall, 345-7th Street, San Francisco.

Mr. Lopata's greatest claim to fame to date has been his design of the national currency of Ukraine - the hryvnia banknotes - in use since September 1996.

The program includes an introduction, excerpts from his books, and songs in honor of Vasyl Lopata.
