On Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m., Richmond Pro Cycling will present a one-night-only screening of the award-winning documentary Bicycle Dreams. The screening will take place in Richmond’s historic Byrd Theatre in the Carytown district. All proceeds will benefit Richmond Pro Cycling’s outreach missions with the Boys and Girls Club of Richmond.
Directed by Steven Auerbach, Bicycle Dreams chronicles the Race Across America, a 3000-mile bicycle race from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Top riders cycle over 300 miles per day and sleep only a few hours per night, finishing in under 10 days. Racing from California to Atlantic City, top competitors ride over 300 miles per day and sleep only a few hours each night. Richmond Pro Cycling (RPC) is a civic leadership corps based in historic Scott’s Addition.
