Autumn Soul Session Vol. 1 feat. Conya Doss and Jesse Boykins III October 29, 2010

This premier Howard University Homecoming happy hour event will feature four of the top names in the independent soul industry. It has been months since DC has witnessed a soul event with such a stellar line-up.

Vol. 1 of the Autumn Soul Session features Conya Doss; her dynamically explosive yet sensual voice is the heart and soul of her music. She has been a fixture on the national and international R&B/Soul music scene for over 7 years. The Cleveland, OH native has the innate and intriguing ability to blend melodic love ballads, soulful R&B and genre-bending grooves into a balanced set that strikes the core of the listener, which has yet to be mastered by her contemporaries. DC has been awaiting Conya’s return and they will finally get to see her perform as she kicks off her 2010 tour at Venus Lounge. Conya will be performing songs from her new album “Blu Transition”.

Jesse Boykins III, an artist whose music spans all genres from R&B to rock. Most recently, Jesse’s video “Amorous” premiered as the new joint of the day on BET's 106th and Park. Jesse will also be performing the new single from his upcoming album “Love Apparatus”.

Eva Kennedy is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and actress haling from the Atlanta music scene. Eva has shared the stage and performed background work for the likes of Johnny Gill, Kelis, Algebra Blessett, Joi Gilliam, and Will Hoge. Eva will be performing songs from her upcoming album “The Eva Kennedy Project.
Teresa Jenee will be the Special Guest Host for the night. This is soulful event that you won't want to miss!
