FEATURING:
MALO - Celebrating 40 Years of Music
Legendary Latin Rock band Malo is one of the most successful and enduring bands in the world. Their 1972 hit single, "Suavecito" is the ultimate Hispanic love song, and four decades later, still one of the most played tracks on classic radio. Malo's line-up has been a virtual who's who of Latin Rock all-stars, including trumpeteer Luis Gasca, percussionists Pete & Coke Escovedo, Francisco Aguabella, and Victor Pantoja, keyboardist Richard Comode, musicians Tom Poole, Raul Rekow, and Pablo Tellez, as well as lead vocalist Richard Bean (of Sapo fame). Emilio & Gloria Estevan credit Malo with helping them to create their very own Miami Sound Machine. Malo has toured the world, playing with such rock greats as The Rolling Stones, WAR, Tierra, El Chicano, and Queen, and still continue to tour extensively, forty years after their debut.

"Founding member Arcelio Garcia, who has stuck through "the thick and thin" of the music business, still enjoys, and is thankful for, his ability to play for several generations of fans, people who keep bringing their grandchildren to Malo shows."

TIERRA
TIERRA’s invigorating blend of R & B, Latin and Pop is the precursor to many Hispanic artists. They have performed in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, The American Music Awards, The Greek Theatre, American Bandstand, The Rose Bowl and concert venues worldwide. TIERRA, named “Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Group” by Billboard Cashbox, Record World, and BRE (Black Radio Exclusive), is the first Hispanic act to have four songs on the national pop charts, and two songs simultaneously in the top 100. They have shared the stage with some of the biggest stars of the musical world, including Michael Jackson, James Brown, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, John Cougar Mellencamp, Lionel Richie, Linda Ronstadt, and many more. Tierra also worked with some of the greatest artists of the Salsa music world such as Eddie Palmieri, Mongo Santamaria, Hector Lavoe, Ruben Blades, Willie Colon, just to name a few.

EL CHICANO
One of the best and most successful bands to emerge from the fertile grounds of East Los Angeles was El Chicano. With the cultural awakening of the Mexican-American and the new Chicano conciousness on the rise and in full swing, El Chicano became a leader in the movement. El Chicano, who went on to record seven albums and to chart top hits such as "Viva Tirado", "Tell Here She's Lovely", "Oye Cayuco" and "Sabor A Mi", among many others, reunite after many years.

LATIN ESSENCE
The band Latin Essence was created in September 2004 in the memory of guitarist and music teacher Rudy Mesta. Members in band have played with such groups as The Tease Band, Escovedo Revue, El Chicano, Sapo(with Latin legend Richard Bean), War and M.C. Hammer. These Musicians have over twenty years of experience and now are together as LATIN ESSENCE the best in Latin rock, Old school funk, and oldies. So if you need that sweet sound of SANTANA or that funky sound of the Commodores or Kool and the Gang, or maybe a lil' oldie sound of BRENTON WOOD, LATIN ESSENCE is the band you've been looking for!
