BACKSTREETS is a coming of age book filled with characters the two brothers have met and influenced each other.

Living their lives with the enthusiasm of crazed explorers searching for excitement amidst a conveniently senile grandma, a frustrated father, a classy naïve idealistic mom, and a penchant for collecting interesting friends.

"It’s not your usual coming of age story line. My mentors in this life; were an angry musician, a commercial artist and two ex cons. We two brothers chose different paths to satisfy our search for excitement. The weave of our lifestyles presented fun and conflict, from childhood to adult life. The ability we have, to find interesting friends and bizarre situations makes this a worthwhile read."
