Bonnie Henderson, Oregon Book Award nominee and author of "Strand: An Odyssey of Pacific Ocean Debris", will speak at the library. She will read excerpts and talk about the research that went into writing the book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
In "Strand" Henderson traces the stories of wrack washed up on the mile-long stretch of Oregon beach she has walked regularly for more than a decade. She discovers everything from glass floats to dead whales and tells the stories of where these items came from and how they ended up on the Oregon beach.
This event is free and open to the public.
