Audubon Birdwatch: Bird Banding March 19, 2011

Seattle Audubon's BirdWatch Service Corps, in partnership with the Puget Sound Bird Observatory, holds monthly bird banding demonstrations in Seward Park just outside the Center. Visitors can watch science in action as live birds are captured in mist nets, tagged with numbered bands, and released. BirdWatch student naturalists assist with the banding, explain the project, and answer visitor questions.
