An extraordinary day to celebrate an extraordinary novel! On October 6, 2007, hundreds gathered in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Ayn Rand's signature novel, Atlas Shrugged.
We will watch the first of 3 panel discussions on the thoughts, reflections and wisdom of a distinguished roster of speakers as they discuss the impact of Atlas Shrugged and Rand's philosophy of Objectivism on the world.
Panel participants will be Nigel Ashford who will introduce the panelists, author Anne Heller who will give a talk on "Atlas and Rand's Life", Dr. Mimi Gladstein who will discuss "Atlas and Rand the Writer" and Dr. David Kelley on "Atlas and Academia".
After we finish watching the video, we will discuss the points brought up in it. Running time will be 1 hour and 20 minutes
