Atlantic Dance Theater presents The Mixed Nut(Cracker) December 20, 2009

In this modern retelling of the classic story, instead of getting a nutcracker, Clara receives her first pair of pointe shoes which sets her off on a quest to become the best dancer in New York City. On her way she meets a cast of New York characters who try to thwart her dreams. The show contains Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap numbers as well as the traditional ballet. Carol Saunders of Backstage raves The Mixed Nut(Cracker) is a "Mix of joyful dancing and seasonal tradition."
