Atlanta Singles Volunteering for Seniors July 18, 2009

This will be ANOTHER fun-filled event for Atlanta singles helping in your community! YOU are continuing to grow the numbers at each event, AND it's for a great cause :-)

This Saturday, we will be volunteering with Senior Citizen Services, a local organization whose mission is to enable seniors to enjoy a high quality of life, maintaining their independence and dignity. Senior Citizen Services offers several different options for Atlanta seniors, including Meals on Wheels, HOMES (home maintenance and repair), neighborhood senior centers and Adult Day Care.

We will be volunteering with the HOMES project. Our Singles for Service group will meet at the home of Violet and Willie Brooks. They are in need of some painting at their house, and we will spend the morning working together, making new friends and helping with them with this need. It will be another very fun and rewarding morning!

(Please be sure to wear clothes that you can paint in.)

We'll also be heading over to a nearby restaurant afterwards for a bite to eat, and another chance to meet and mingle...
