A wharf habitat has tides and waves crashing in and out all the time. The animals in this area have various adaptations to survive a tough environment. Many animals are submerged under water for a while, only to have the tide go out, exposing them to the sun and the air. Other animals may dig down under the rocks to stay put and yet others will let go and drift with the tide.
