View and learn about the night sky the way Copernicus and Galileo did!
Our program, "Exploring the Known Universe," will enable children to discover the answers to questions like: How big is the universe? What is a black hole? Where are stars born? Envision your place in the universe with our tour of the cosmos! The Star Gazer's gift shop will open at 9:00 p.m., after the program ends.
(No easy stroller access; please bring a backpack, front-pack, or sling for your non-walking youngsters.)
The site has provided us with the following driving directions -
From Los Angeles, take the 10 freeway east to the 215 freeway north toward San Bernardino. Follow the "Mountain Resorts" sign, staying right on the 30 (now the 210). Continue to Waterman Avenue exit. Go left on Waterman Avenue (Highway 18) heading up the mountain for approximately 16 miles. Go past the Blue Jay turnoff and turn left onto Observatory Way. Follow the sign, past the bus yard, to the upper parking lot. On the right is our road with yellow gates. Park in the lot and walk up to the MSAS Astronomy Village.
