The first in a 10-week series of lectures on the theme: "Astronomy Ancient and Modern - demonstrating the amazing achievements of early civilizations and their impact today." The course will show the remarkable achievements of ancient civilisations and how historical records are proving vital in modern research. Sessions run from 7.30-9.30pm. The course is run by the Petersfield Branch of the WEA (Workers' Educational Association). The course fee is £68. Tuition is free for people who receive a means-tested benefit or unemployment benefit/jobseekers' allowance and for their unwaged dependents.
