Astra Kelly CD Release Party January 23, 2010

For the first time since moving to San Diego in 2006, Astra Kelly is releasing music with her latest “Battling the Sun” EP, her fifth CD release. An epic CD release party will take place January 23rd at North Park’s Ruby Room. Kelly will be accompanied Mikey “Monsterface” Monsivaiz (drums), Chris Wilson (guitar: Endoxi/Get Back Loretta), Tim DeMartin (percussion/keys), and newcomers Tony Swanson (bass), Marta Blalock (violin: Transfer) and Mike Chartrand (guitar). Also on the bill are San Diego talents Evan Robinson (War Stories), Medicine for Madison, Republic of Letters, and DJ Myron Eugene, along with appearances by the San Diego Roller Derby Dolls and live art by Billy Martinez (artist for the “Battling the Sun” EP.)
