The Seattle Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), will honor Blue Nile Inc. as its 2007 Emerging Company Award Nov. 6, 2008 at the Columbia Tower Club from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Blue Nile's Diane Irvine, who was named chief executive officer in February and who was among the first executives to join founder Mark Vandon's team, will talk about the Seattle company's meteoric growth.
Founded in 1999, Blue Nile has quickly grown into the nation's largest online retailer of certified diamonds and fine jewelry and today sells more in bridal jewelry than Tiffany & Co. in the U.S.
"Blue Nile has transformed the jewelry industry," said ACG Seattle chapter President Chuck Gottschalk. "They are a great example of how to grow a company rapidly and successfully."
ACG is actively seeking senior executives from middle-market companies that can benefit from its wide range of services aimed at helping companies grow.
