Following the success of the ASO?s Zeppelin Flies Again concert in 2005, the orchestra pays tribute to the English rock band Pink Floyd and creates, from the ground up,
a concert of specially arranged music featuring Australian rock musicians.

Pink Floyd are recognised as the leading space-rock band. Since the mid ?60?s, their music has relentlessly tinkered with electronics and all manner of special eff ects to push pop formats to their outer limits. At the same time, they have wrestled with lyrical themes and concepts on such a massive scale that their music has taken on an almost classical, operatic quality, in both sound and words.
