Asian Four Minute Dating! July 19, 2009

This one's for the singles in our group!

I've made special arrangements with the NEW Town Tavern for this event. We'll each experience a dozen first dates in one evening with numerous single young professionals of the opposite sex in Town Tavern's down-to-earth and friendly pub.

At the beginning of the evening, we'll each receive a name tag with a unique number on it, as well as an index card on which we'll print our name, our unique number, and our email address. For the first hour, we will rotate every 4 minutes and meet a dozen new single friends. We'll then write down the unique number of those we'd like to see again and hand the card back in. (In the next few days after the event, we'll receive an email with any mutual matches.)

Afterwards, for the next hour, we'll still have the place reserved for us to mix, mingle, and get to know each other a little bit more at the bar, with drinks specials for our group only!

For those that haven't been there before, Town Tavern is a brand new pub, which encourages a pleasant and friendly setting for us to interact... and recently came to DC by way of it's New York fame. WE'LL BE ON THE SECOND FLOOR.

SECRET ADMIRER: Throughout the evening, we may meet someone we want to send an additional message to. But, either we did not quite make a match, or we did not have an opportunity to approach him / her. So, For the next three days after the event, we will have the opportunity to relay a message to our "secret admirer." We'll need to include: 1) the unique number of the person (the number listed on their name tag), 2) our email address, 3) a private message for that person. The person's privacy will be respected and their contact information will remain private. But our "secret admirer" message will be passed along (with our contact info) and fate will take over.

Woodley Park is the closest Metro stop (Red), ~15 minute walk. We suggest Metro / cabbing if you can. We also recommend using wmata for travel planning. There's also a garage on 18th, right across from Felix Lounge.
